“Live United & Be Inclusive”
603 United stands by: “Live United and Be Inclusive”. Our goal is to provide social inclusion activities for adults 18+ with and without an intellectual disability in our community. 603 United is dedicated to creating a community that fosters healthy relationships, healthy lifestyles, and inclusion within the Lakes Region.
Unfortunately, after High School graduation, there isn’t a lot of opportunities for social inclusion activities. Laurie Belanger, a board member of 603 United, is quoted saying “The saddest day of the year, is graduation.” This is what we want to change.
Gerron Belanger, another board member of 603 United who had the opportunity to participate in high school co-curricular activities is quoted saying “603 United is going to provide a great opportunity to make lifelong friendships, make your life better, try new things, and stay healthy and active.”
With your donation, we will be able provide social inclusion activities and opportunities that before weren’t feasible.
Our one year goal is to purchase a 15 Passenger van. The van would provide transportation for our club members to program and would also provide transportation for our longer trips.
Our ULTIMATE goal is to build a club house. The Club House would be an activity center that would provide a safe space for activities like cooking, arts & crafts, shooting hoops, and so much more.
Please consider helping us provide social inclusion activities to adults with and without an intellectual disability and bridge the gap.
